BLAHMAN AND THE TERRIFYING TERROR OF JESICA

The book is a comic read.  The book is filled with comic moments and laughters without any logic.  However,  the comedy doesn’t need any logic.  This book is 3rd in the series but its my first read and being impressed with this read, i am really fascinated towards the other two.

As the title justifies,  the story revolves around the main protagonist Blahman where he along with his sister and Aven are trapped in a cube by Jessica. They are in search of a way to get out.

The paperback version  also includes the colouring part and a cutout bookmark.
The language and narration is subtle and simple with jokes and laughs.
Overall, a pleasurable and funny read.

Life Without Parents

Life without parents is like a tree with broken roots.
Life without parents is like a flower without fragrance.
Life without parents is like a candle without a flame.
Life without parents is like a well without water.
Life without parents is like a medicine which has no effect on a sick person.
Life without parents is like a music without tone.

Say No To Oldage Homes & Yes To Family Homes

Daily we read and hear so many heart rending cases  children sending their parents to oldage homes, childrens are ill treating and miss behaving with their parents.
What is this happening ?
Is this the fault of their parents ?
Is this their fault that they are getting older now or their fault is that they have wasted their entire life for their children and meeting their needs and expectations, given them everything they every wanted, for sending them schools and making them self independent? Or the fault of them is that they have love them unconditionally? And the reason is that senior citizens are getting out of it. Instead of getting the love of their children and grandchildren. They are getting humiliation, negligence and disrespect. This is really very disappointing. Did parents ever teach their children to forget their moral values, respect and love for their children when they become old? No they have never taught us this. Parents can never expect this from their children. The feeling of being ignored by our loved ones killed from inside.
People who do these things are building up their future also. Children learn from their parents and in future they will surely be facing the same circumstances as what they are doing to their parents. Because whatever you do comes back to you one day.

Senior citizens have been the biggest victims of social advancement and modernization. They are neglected by their own children as they are in their own pursuit of wealth and comfort. As a result many of them are left to  spend their last years in old age homes. Respect your parents and don’t leave them in old age homes.

The Cindrella of Karnal by Reecha Agarwal Goyal.Book review

Divya is cursed as an “inauspicious” since birth. Raised by her orthodox, paternal family and a single mother, she runs away from her home in Karnal to study Psychology. Here she befriends Ved and Kanika who become her lifeline. She finds herself amongst her trusted and supportive friends who become more than her family. But when has life been easy for Divya!

Life takes an upturn where she finds herself in a devastating web of social injustice and abuse, patriarchy, social discrimination. Will she be able to find herself once again? Will she be able to make her mother proud? Will she be able to fullfill her dream to help the people in Karnal with their emotional and psychological issues?

“Cindrella of Karnal” is a fast paced psychological thriller focusing on women centric social issues like female infanticide, molestation, sexual and mental harrasment, injustice towards single mothers and daughters and so much more. The suffering of women, physically and mentally, from an orthodox and dominating society is decribed very well. The story started smoothly but the unexpected twist midway was surprising. The second half of the book is gripping.

This short power-packed inspirational story of a run-way girl and her fight against all odds, is highly recommended to those who like to read woman centric psychological thrillers. This is not a Cinderella retelling, but an new story altogether.

About the book:

#Qotd : Did you like the cover and the topic of the book?

‘What do you see’ is the story about the racism that Cassius faces in school which breaks his moral so much that he decides to not go to school at all. It is about how his mother motivates him to look at himself differently and face such situations with a different perspective as life for ‘them’ is not easy.

By them, here she means “black people”. It is appalling to see how children in school bully others for their skin colour. I am sure they don’t even know what that means. Why do they tease then!? They hear grownups tease others & children follow them blindly, don’t they? Irrespective of the colour, I am sure there are countless Cassius’s who face these racial injustice at such a tender age and sadly they do not even have that emotional maturity to deal with it. This book shows the first step to face such situations. It asks them to look at themselves in the mirror and appreciate what they see.

Honestly, I am impressed by the quality of the children’s stories that have evolved with time. Story books like these teach not just behavioural moral values but also deal with the emotional turmoil of the children. I remember during my childhood such deep, emotionally uplifting stories were hardly available.

Apart from the usual fairytales, such stories are extremely important for today’s kids to read, as they need to learn to fight back and know their self worth. This book is a gentle reminder with a powerful message to all the children that they are more than what they are superficially.

Needless to say, this book is a must have in every home with a child, irrespective of the colour of their skin. Because it is essential that both, the children who bully and those who get bullied read this book.

WHAT IF ?

Note – this poem is imaginary of my imaginary character .

So, don’t take it seriously .

What if I don’t bath daily ?

What if I wear cloth of my choice but not choice of around people ?

But the people says . Which I don’t like .

What if I don’t study 24 hrs ?

What if my tummy is coming out ?

But my aim is big for which I have to only focus on it .

not on my looks , habit .

my parents has the right to say anything because they born me .

What if people’s words depressed me ?

so , don’t say anything about my looks, habit or which depressed me .

Report

in india many child die because of the words of his/her around people . Which make them think that they are nothing . So, change your words into respectful lines .

#respect child .
